自家栽培でそだてた和紙の木から 製品ができるまでの ものがたり

文庫本、スケジュール帳、メモ帳などのカバーとしてお使いいただけるＡ６サイズのカバーや名刺入れなどの和紙製品を、材料の栽培からすべて手作りで製作しています。
和紙を身近において触れ、感じる あたたかさ。むかしは 当たり前だったことが、今では豊かに感じられる不思議。
山の果研究所では、苗木から育てたコウゾの木を原料に、手すき和紙を一枚ずつ製造し、吉野の山で採取した植物などで草木染めします。型染め技法での染色も山の果研究所の特徴です。山の果研究所は、自然素材と天然色素を大切に製品作りをおこなっています。

山の果研究所は、和紙の原料になる木「コウゾ」を

栽培し、収穫したコウゾから作った和紙をつかって、

製品づくりをおこなっています。
山の果研究所は、奈良県吉野町の東端にある、

山の上の殿川集落で活動しています。
山の果の「果」という字には、木の実（結実）、結果、

決断、そして「果て」という意味があります。

吉野でも山深い、山の果ての地で、果を結んでいきたい。

「山の果」の名には、その願いを込めました。

山の果研究所の工房内には、店舗がございません。

Instagramにて、販売店や出店情報を掲載しておりますのでご覧ください。

打ち合わせや出張等により工房に不在のこともございますため、

ご訪問は完全予約制とさせていただきます。

Yamanaka Laboratory  

is a small farmer who supplies paper mulberry "Kozo".  We supply Kozo to craftsmen who make Japanese paper made for the restoration of cultural properties.

And we also manufacture original products using Japanese paper. 

We use Kozo harvested from our field for products.


We grow the trees from spring to autumn,  and they are harvested in winter, peeled, boiled and tapped into fibers, and then, we make Japanese paper using unique tools.
The final step is to dye the Japanese paper with a plant dyeing one by one.

We collect mountain plants and extract the natural colors. 

There is our studio in a village in the deep mountains, Yoshino Town, Nara Prefecture. Living in the mountains gives us a lot of joy, and sometimes it's tough.
We hope to express on Japanese paper what we feel in mountain life.
